G Company, 505th Parachute Infantry Regiment, 82nd Airborne Division (Reenacted)

We portray George Company, of the 505th Parachute Infantry Regiment, of the 82nd Airborne Division. We are living Historians/Reenactors dedicated to preserving the memory of the 505th Parachute Regiment, as well as all branches of the United States Military during the Second World War.

Our mission is to preserve history for future generations, educate the public about the War and the military, and honor our Veterans. We truly take to heart the saying, that if you do not learn from the past, that you are doomed to repeat it.  However, in no way do we glorify war. War Is Hell, and this fact is too often lost on people, and we seek to let people truly understand what those before us went through.

Most of the time, the events we participate in dictate that we focus on a Normandy time-frame, but we also portray the Regiment during it's time in Sicily, Italy, Holland, Belgium, and during it's occupation duties in Berlin. Many of our unit members also portray other time periods and branches of the military.

We are a nonprofit organization affiliated with the World War Two Historical Reenactment Society. We participate in reenactments and Living History displays.  Our unit members reside in Indiana, Michigan, Illinois, Ohio, Pennsylvania, Tennessee and Kentucky. Our work is unpaid, but we are proud to be apart of the preservation of military history.
